Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities (VVSG)
Nathalie Dumarey is staff member at the Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities (VVSG). VVSG is the member organisation of all 308 Flemish cities and municipalities, representing their interests and offering advice, training and many other services. Nathalie works on the matter of smart cities and digital innovation. VVSG wants to inform and inspire local mandatories and civil servants on innovative solutions for the challenges they are confronted with. In the past Nathalie has worked 9 years with the city of Ostend, where she coordinated the system of local administrative penalties and worked on several initiatives to help prevent and tackle different nuisance issues in the city. Since 2015 she is active in the VVSG.
Smart Cities: it all starts with a vision
Nathalie Dumarey will discuss a few essential components for developing a smart city-vision and projects giving examples from Flemish Cities and municipalities and how they bring these essentials into practice.
