In 2018, Benjamin Feigel was awarded a doctorate degree (PhD) in Engineering Sciences: Photonics from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
Due to his keen interest in the field of telecommunication, he pursued a position involving industrial Internet of Things at Engie M2M, the exclusive Sigfox network operator in Belgium.
Currently, as IoT Solution Architect, he is driven to develop customer-centric IoT solutions where he concentrates his expertise in network and hardware challenges.
WORKSHOP: Low Energy Positioning (LEP) put in practice.
During this hands-on workshop, the audience will receive and work with a free Sigfox tracker.
The aim is to demonstrate the practicality and the many benefits of Low-Energy Positioning (LEP) techniques for localization of industrial assets by means of Sigfox-based trackers.
We will showcase how Wi-Fi Positioning System (WPS), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Sigfox Geolocation are able to provide crucial location data through the same IoT device.Smart Cities
